If you don’t want to take up wall space which you might want to use for paintings or other decoration, then a floor mounted heat pump could be a solution.
Floor units are usually less visible than wall mounted heat pumps and can be a good option if you are replacing a gas heater as they will cover the existing wall space.

Floor consoles are superior for heating as they displace the cold air at ground level to heat the room more effectively.
